John Van Den Brandt has had a love affair with photography nearly all his life. He merged his enthusiasm for photography with his fascination with the natural world, to create Wild Wind Images.

A long-time "birder", John has seen over 500 species of birds in the lower 48 states. John combines his knowledge of animal behavior and habitat with exceptional patience and a creative eye to produce images that uniquely capture his subjects in their essence. Whether hiking in the remote reaches of Alaska or paddling a local river near his home in northeastern Wisconsin, John seeks to capture nature with a stunning clarity and beauty that causes the viewer's eye to linger and to absorb the details of one moment in nature's pageantry. Scott studied darkroom-based photojournalism while living in Windsor and later studied digital photography at various colleges in Ontario. Aspiring to move beyond representational photography, and inspired by Impressionism and Abstract Expressionism, he decided to use his camera to 'paint' his distinctive photographs. While pursuing a diploma in American Sign Language interpretation, he met his creative partner, Richard Manilla, and they formed Garilla Photography and Visual Art to market and promote their work.

Scott's award-winning work has been showcased at art shows in New York City, Toronto and all over Ontario. His work can be found in private collections in Canada, the U.S., and as far away as New Zealand. He is currently working on a further study of light reflections. Stamping Cards

Debi Jones is the artist behind The Purple Table. What began as a large old wooden door was transformed into an artist desk by decoupaging various purple papers onto its surface. The Purple Table is literally the place where her creativity and imagination are unleashed to create unique handmade paper goods and gifts.

Inspired by nature, vintage, romance and whimsy, paper goods include hanging tags for gift packages or wedding wish trees, altered journals, and greeting cards for all occasions. Domino game pieces are upcycled into magnets and key chains to make unique small gifts. An obsessive collection of rubber stamps contributes to her ever changing designs.

Watercolors, acrylics, alcohol inks, chalks, and distress inks are some favorite materials. Experimenting with different techniques and with mixing materials in new ways contribute to her eclectic style. Her creative artwork is featured on our Strathmore® Stamping Cards.

Toned Cards

Born in Harare, Zimbabwe, Wendy Beresford is a self-taught professional artist. Now located in South Africa where she owns her own studio, Wendy is fascinated with painting the wildlife that surrounds her in Africa.

Traditionally a pastel artist, she now prefers using oils and acrylics for most of her beautiful pieces of art. For the artwork featured on our Toned Tan and Toned Gray Cards, Wendy used a combination of charcoal, chalk pastels and conte pencils.

Wendy believes that the combination of animals and art is truly a healing one. She hopes that her work will excite people again about African wildlife, and to bring awareness to the jeopardy these incredible species face as population numbers decline in the wild.

Parchment Cards

Joanne Fink has been using— and loving— Strathmore Artist papers since she started lettering more than three decades ago.
